NEW YORK — NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said Wednesday that representatives from ESPN/ABC, Amazon and NBC spent the week in New York meeting with league executives to plan the implementation of the NBA’s new national broadcast package.

Speaking before the league’s Board of Governors, Silver described the sessions as an “important early step” in coordinating coverage under the 11-year, $76 billion agreement announced in July.

The deal returns the NBA to NBC for the first time since 2002, introduces Amazon Prime Video as a streaming partner and extends the league’s long-standing relationship with ESPN/ABC.

Beginning with the upcoming season, national games will air on at least one of the three outlets almost every night of the week.
