Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey was captured on video being reprimanded by a policewoman after allegedly exceeding 100 mph during a traffic stop, according to footage that surfaced on Thursday.
The recording, dated Aug. 29, shows the officer sharply criticizing the 7-foot-4 NBA player for driving at triple-digit speed. Edey can be seen and heard acknowledging the officer’s comments while standing beside his vehicle on the roadside. No injuries were reported, and it is unclear whether he received a citation or other penalties at the scene.
The Grizzlies have not publicly addressed the incident, and representatives for Edey did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
