Two players were ejected when punches were thrown during the New Orleans Pelicans’ matchup with the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night, Dec. 27, 2025.
The on-court altercation halted play and prompted officials to review video before issuing immediate ejections — one to each team. Both benches cleared as teammates and coaches tried to separate the combatants, but no serious injuries were reported.
Play resumed after several minutes, and the NBA is expected to evaluate the incident for possible additional discipline under the league’s rules governing fighting.
