Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young said a number of situations inside the franchise “didn’t make sense” to him in the period leading up to a recent trade, according to a report published Jan. 9.
Young told the New York Post that he was puzzled by several internal matters before the deal was completed. He did not specify which incidents bothered him or whether they involved roster moves, coaching decisions, or front-office direction.
The three-time All-Star, who has averaged more than 25 points per game in each of the past four seasons, added that the confusing stretch affected his outlook on the organization. No additional details about the trade or the situations Young referenced were disclosed.
Neither the Hawks nor Young’s representatives offered further comment.
