Playing without injured guard Jalen Brunson, the New York Knicks were beaten by the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night in Minneapolis.
Julius Randle delivered a spirited performance against a former club, gaining a measure of personal revenge, yet his effort could not prevent New York’s road loss.
The Knicks struggled to generate consistent offense in Brunson’s absence and were unable to slow a balanced Timberwolves attack down the stretch.
New York continues its trip later this week, while Minnesota heads out on its own holiday slate.
