Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch was ejected only six minutes into a game on Dec. 19, 2025, after a fiery exchange with officials that escalated to the point where team staff had to physically restrain him.
Video from the incident shows Finch shouting at the referees before being removed from the court. Several Timberwolves assistants quickly stepped in, guiding the coach toward the locker room while he continued to protest the call that sparked the outburst.
Finch’s early exit forced the Timberwolves to play the remainder of the contest under the direction of the assistant coaching staff.
