The Oklahoma City Thunder will take a fresh look at forward Jalen Williams once the NBA All-Star break concludes, a team spokesperson told ESPN on Thursday.

Williams strained his right hamstring for the second time in less than four weeks during Wednesday night’s road victory over the Phoenix Suns. The 24-year-old was ruled out of Thursday’s matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The initial injury occurred on Jan. 17, sidelining Williams for 10 games. He returned Monday against the Los Angeles Lakers, then erupted for 28 points on 11-of-12 shooting in just 20 minutes against Phoenix before exiting in the third quarter.

Oklahoma City is already managing other injuries: reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and top reserve Ajay Mitchell remain out with abdominal strains.

Williams signed a maximum contract extension after helping lead the Thunder to last season’s championship. He missed the first 19 games of this season while recovering from right-wrist surgery and is averaging 17.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists.
