OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Thunder signed forward Payton Sandfort to a two-way contract and released guard Buddy Boeheim on Monday, the team announced.
Sandfort, a 6-foot-7 rookie, has played 21 games this season for the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder’s G League affiliate, averaging 11.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
The Iowa product posted 16.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game as a senior with the Hawkeyes.
Boeheim had joined the Thunder on a two-way deal signed on Feb. 6.
