PHILADELPHIA, March 3, 2026 — San Antonio forward Harrison Barnes missed Thursday night’s matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers after waking from a pregame nap with soreness in his left ankle, halting a streak of 364 consecutive appearances.

The absence was Barnes’s first since Dec. 4, 2021, when he was with Sacramento. He had been listed as available until Spurs medical staff treated the ankle shortly before tipoff, prompting a late addition to the injury report.

Head coach Mitch Johnson told reporters Barnes “reported soreness when he woke up” and received immediate attention from trainers. No additional details on the severity were provided.

With Barnes sidelined, New York’s Mikal Bridges extends his lead for the NBA’s longest active games-played streak at 616. Barnes ranks second in total games since the start of the 2021 season with 382.

The Spurs did not say when the 33-year-old forward might return to the lineup.
