Jalen Duren to Compete in NBA Slam Dunk Contest

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren has accepted an invitation to the NBA Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, according to sources who spoke with ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The 22-year-old rookie All-Star will showcase his leaping ability on Feb. 14 at the Intuit Dome, one day before making his All-Star Game debut as a reserve. All-Star events run from Feb. 13–15.
Duren joins Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes and San Antonio Spurs rookie Carter Bryant in the dunk contest field.
Selected 13th overall in the 2022 NBA draft, the 6-foot-10 big man is averaging 18.0 points and 10.7 rebounds for Detroit this season.
