A heavy snowstorm in Charlotte has postponed the start of the San Antonio Spurs’ home game against the Orlando Magic, the team announced Saturday night.

The matchup at Frost Bank Center will now begin at 6 p.m. CST on Sunday, three hours later than originally scheduled. The change became necessary after more than 9 inches of snow grounded flights out of Charlotte, preventing the Spurs from leaving town following their 111–106 loss to the Hornets.

Charlotte’s winter blast had already prompted the Hornets to move Saturday’s game up by three hours. San Antonio, which planned to fly home immediately afterward, instead hopes to travel Sunday morning, turning the Magic contest into the second leg of an adjusted back-to-back.

Orlando arrived in San Antonio on Saturday morning and has been idle since a 124–97 home loss to Charlotte on Thursday.

The Spurs (32-16) sit third in the Western Conference standings, trailing the Oklahoma City Thunder (38-11) and the Denver Nuggets (33-16).
