MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Grizzlies announced Tuesday that guard Scotty Pippen Jr. and forward Santi Aldama will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 NBA season following successful surgeries.
Pippen underwent an operation on his right big toe, while Aldama had a procedure and injection to relieve discomfort in his right knee. According to the team, both players are expected to be fully recovered in time for next season.
The injuries further deplete a roster already hampered by absences. Memphis entered Tuesday at 23-44 after eight consecutive losses, sitting nine games behind the Western Conference’s final play-in spot. Star guard Ja Morant has appeared in only 20 games and has been out for the past 25 with a left elbow injury.
Pippen, who had a similar toe surgery in October, delayed his season debut until last month. Over 10 games, he averaged 11.4 points. Aldama was posting 14.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per contest before being shut down.
