The Eastern Conference–leading Detroit Pistons will open a short stretch without two key starters, the club announced Saturday.

Center Jalen Duren is dealing with a left ankle strain and forward Tobias Harris has a left hip strain. Neither player will travel for Sunday’s road matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and both will be re-evaluated later this month—Duren in one week and Harris in two.

Duren, enjoying a breakout season, is averaging 17.9 points and 10.6 rebounds. He was hurt during Thursday’s loss to the Miami Heat, the Pistons’ third defeat in their past four games.

Reserve guard Caris LeVert will also stay in Detroit as he continues to recover from right knee inflammation. He remains listed day-to-day.

Following Sunday’s visit to Cleveland, Detroit returns to Little Caesars Arena for six straight contests against the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics.
