BOSTON, Dec. 23, 2025 — Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle is urging the NBA to examine a first-quarter incident he says left forward Isaiah Jackson with a possible concussion during Monday night’s 103-95 loss to the Boston Celtics.
Carlisle told reporters the play occurred with approximately 4:30 remaining in the opening period at TD Garden, when Celtics center Neemias Queta allegedly hit Jackson with two elbows in quick succession. Jackson exited for concussion evaluation and did not return.
“I hope the league looks at that,” Carlisle said. “It did not appear to be accidental, and it’s very dangerous.” He added, “The play that happened, it just can’t be missed.”
Jackson, who came off the bench averaging 7.6 points and 6.1 rebounds in 18.8 minutes over 28 games, logged only two minutes before the injury. Carlisle said he does not know how long the 23-year-old might be sidelined, calling the situation “pretty serious.”
The Pacers fell to the Celtics despite a game-high 27 points from Tyrese Haliburton. Boston improved to 21-7 behind 24 points and 11 rebounds from Jayson Tatum.
