Denver Nuggets forward Cameron Johnson is set to undergo an MRI after injuring his right knee during the fourth quarter of Tuesday night’s 131–130 defeat to the Dallas Mavericks.

Johnson collapsed without contact with 9:18 remaining in regulation and remained on the court in visible pain before limping to the bench. The Nuggets initially listed him as questionable to return with a right knee sprain, but he did not re-enter the game.

Head coach David Adelman told reporters afterward that the team is “hoping for the best” while awaiting imaging results.

The 29-year-old forward, acquired from the Brooklyn Nets in an offseason trade for Michael Porter Jr., entered the matchup averaging 11.8 points across 30.9 minutes per game.
