The NBA has told Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs that he may no longer keep his headband around his neck during games, effectively banning the style.
The ruling was reported on Jan. 4, 2026. League officials determined that placing the headband below the chin does not comply with uniform guidelines, which require the accessory to be worn in its standard position on the forehead.
The directive takes effect immediately. Neither the Magic nor Suggs have commented publicly on the decision.
