NEW YORK — The New York Knicks still have not outlined a definitive load-management strategy for starting center Mitchell Robinson, leaving questions about how the club intends to pace the 27-year-old throughout the season.
As of Tuesday, Nov. 4, team officials had yet to specify whether Robinson will face set minute limits, designated rest games or other restrictions designed to protect his durability. The lack of publicly detailed guidance comes as Robinson continues to anchor the Knicks’ interior defense and rebounding.
Head coach Tom Thibodeau and the medical staff have repeatedly declined to elaborate on the center’s projected usage, offering only that decisions will be made “game by game.” Robinson, who has dealt with lower-body injuries in prior seasons, has not addressed the matter beyond saying he is prepared to play whenever called upon.
The Knicks entered the week amid a congested stretch of the schedule, heightening curiosity about how the club will manage Robinson’s minutes in back-to-back sets and during extended road trips. For now, clarity on the plan remains elusive.
