Karl-Anthony Towns Proposes to Jordyn Woods on Christmas Day

NEW YORK — New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns used Christmas Day to ask longtime girlfriend Jordyn Woods to marry him.
The couple revealed the engagement Thursday in a shared Instagram post, showing Towns on one knee at a rooftop location overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Their caption read, “Marry Christmas.”
Earlier in the day, Towns recorded 11 points and 14 rebounds in the Knicks’ 126-124 victory, also on Christmas, at Madison Square Garden.
Knicks guards Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart reposted the announcement on their Instagram stories, with Brunson adding, “Let’s gooooooo.” Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese and Olympic gymnast Suni Lee were among the public figures offering congratulations in the comments.
Towns and Woods began dating in 2020 and went public with the relationship that September. For the center’s 30th birthday in November, Woods presented him with a black 1990s Isuzu Trooper, the same model driven by his late mother, Jacqueline Cruz-Towns, during his childhood. Woods has frequently attended Knicks games since the relationship began.
