Milwaukee Bucks icon Marques Johnson marked his 70th birthday on Monday, Feb. 23, by leaping off two feet for a one-handed slam, extending a personal tradition of celebratory dunks.

Wearing a Crenshaw High School baseball jersey, the Los Angeles native dedicated the basket to his alma mater and declared the jam “my last one” before breaking into a Crenshaw spirit song.

Johnson has turned his annual birthday dunk into a social-media staple. Two years ago, on his 68th birthday, he saluted “all the snubs,” citing Jacob Toppin’s dunk-contest loss during All-Star Weekend and Beyoncé’s Album of the Year miss at the Grammys—an honor she captured in 2025 with “Cowboy Carter.”

The five-time NBA All-Star is a finalist for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Drafted third overall by Milwaukee in 1977, he played seven seasons with the Bucks before stints with the LA Clippers and the Golden State Warriors. The Bucks retired his No. 8 jersey in 2019.
