Magic guard Desmond Bane fined $35,000 for throwing ball at Knicks’ OG Anunoby

The NBA has fined Orlando Magic guard Desmond Bane $35,000 for hurling the basketball at New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby in an unsportsmanlike manner, the league announced.
The incident occurred with 6:13 remaining in the fourth quarter of New York’s 106-100 victory over Orlando at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 7. Anunoby was on a breakaway when two Magic defenders knocked the ball loose. As Anunoby tumbled out of bounds under the basket, Bane retrieved the ball and fired it at the Knicks wing, drawing a technical foul.
This is the second time this season Bane has been disciplined for throwing the ball at an opponent. During a 127-112 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Nov. 4, he was ejected in the third quarter after a flagrant foul on Onyeka Okongwu was followed by Bane firing the ball down at the fallen Hawks center, resulting in a technical foul upon video review.
The Magic fell to 14-9 with the loss to New York, while the Knicks improved to 12-11.
