MIAMI, March 19, 2026 (AP) — Luka Doncic poured in 60 points and the Los Angeles Lakers stretched their season-high winning streak to eight games with a 134-126 victory over the Miami Heat on Thursday night.

The 60-point outburst equals the second-highest total of Doncic’s career, trailing only his 73-point effort against Atlanta in 2024 and matching his 60-point night versus New York in 2022. It also sets a new scoring mark by a Heat opponent, surpassing James Harden’s 58 for Houston on Feb. 28, 2019.

Doncic, the NBA’s current scoring leader, has scored at least 30 in eight straight outings and has hit the 50-point plateau twice in his past five games. On the back end of a back-to-back, he went 18-for-30 from the field, 9-for-17 from deep and 15-for-19 at the line, with 39 of his points coming after halftime.

LeBron James, appearing in a game that tied the NBA record for career contests played, finished with 19 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. He connected on his first seven shots, extending a streak of 21 makes in 22 attempts that began with his final attempt Monday in Houston, continued with a 13-for-14 showing Wednesday against the Rockets and lasted until an early fourth-quarter miss in Miami. Austin Reaves added 18 points for Los Angeles.

Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 28 points. Tyler Herro scored 21 and Norman Powell had 20 as Miami squandered an early 15-point edge and dropped its third straight. The Heat played without Jaime Jaquez Jr. (left hip tightness) and Andrew Wiggins (toe).

Los Angeles improved to 8-0 since March 4, while Miami fell for the third time in four nights.
