NBA icons LeBron James and Stephen Curry have publicly stated where they stand on the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, making their intentions unmistakable during remarks delivered on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025.
The two superstar guards, long viewed as possible centerpieces for a home-soil Team USA, addressed the topic in separate public appearances. Their comments removed lingering uncertainty about whether either would pursue another shot at Olympic competition.
Neither player announced a formal commitment to USA Basketball, and the men’s roster for 2028 will not be finalized for several years. Still, the clear declarations marked the first time both veterans have spoken definitively about their Olympic outlook this far in advance.
The 2028 Games will be staged in Los Angeles, raising the possibility of a final Olympic appearance for two of the most decorated players of their generation.
