Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James acknowledged that a video tribute played by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Jan. 29, 2026 stirred strong feelings as he returned to his former home floor.
The montage, shown on the scoreboard before the game in Cleveland, highlighted James’s accomplishments during his two stints with the Cavaliers. Speaking with reporters afterward, the four-time NBA champion said the presentation brought back memories of his early seasons in the league and his connection to Northeast Ohio.
James added that, while the tribute was meaningful, he quickly shifted his attention to the matchup at hand in order to help the Lakers compete.
