Early All-Star returns show LeBron James lagging in fan votes

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James is receiving fewer fan votes than usual in the first published tally for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, according to figures cited by the New York Post.

The report notes that the 19-time All-Star, who has routinely topped voting in past seasons, is currently well behind the leaders in the Western Conference frontcourt category. The league’s initial release, which combines fan, player and media ballots, marks an uncharacteristic dip for the four-time MVP.

Fan voting remains open, and additional updates are expected before starters are announced next month.
