The Los Angeles Lakers have reached a two-year agreement with two-way guard Nick Smith Jr., agent Lucas Newton of Klutch Sports told ESPN on Sunday.

The move comes as the Lakers prepare for the postseason without injured star guards Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. Coach Darvin Ham’s team faces the Utah Jazz in Sunday’s regular-season finale holding the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference. Los Angeles can climb to No. 3 with a victory and a Denver Nuggets loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Smith, 22, has appeared in 29 games this season, averaging 6.0 points and 1.0 assist while shooting 40 percent from three-point range in 12.3 minutes per contest.
