The Los Angeles Lakers recorded their 50th victory of the 2025-26 NBA season by defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 127-113 on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
The win pushed Los Angeles past the 50-win mark for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign. The Lakers controlled the game from the opening quarter, building a double-digit lead that the Cavaliers were unable to erase.
Cleveland kept the margin manageable through three quarters, but a late surge by the Lakers put the game out of reach and sealed the 14-point decision.
Wednesday’s matchup was the lone meeting between the two clubs in Los Angeles this season. The teams split the season series 1-1.
The Lakers return to action later this week as the regular season heads into its final stretch, while the Cavaliers continue their West Coast road trip.
