NEW YORK — Guerschon Yabusele arrived at the New York Knicks’ preseason workouts listed as one of the NBA’s heaviest players after a summer spent adding significant mass, the New York Post reported Monday.
The report, published on Oct. 20, 2025, noted that the 6-foot-8 forward increased his weight enough during the offseason to rank near the top of the league’s heaviest athletes. Specific figures were not disclosed, but the Post said Yabusele’s bulk now places him alongside the NBA’s largest bodies heading into the 2025-26 campaign.
Yabusele, who rejoined the Knicks ahead of training camp, focused on strength and size during the summer. Team officials have not yet addressed how the added weight might affect his role in head coach Tom Thibodeau’s rotation.
The Knicks open their regular season later this month, giving the coaching staff a brief window to evaluate how Yabusele’s new physique translates on the court.
