The New York Knicks will tip off the new NBA season short-handed, as guard/forward Josh Hart has been ruled out with an injury and center Mitchell Robinson will also be unavailable, the team announced Tuesday.
No timetable was provided for Hart’s return. The swingman sustained the injury shortly before the opener and did not practice in the final lead-up to the game.
Robinson’s absence will leave New York without its starting center on opening night. Team officials did not detail the reason for his unavailability but indicated that further updates would be given when appropriate.
The Knicks did not immediately name replacements in the rotation for either player.
