SACRAMENTO — The Sacramento Kings expect forward Keegan Murray to miss three to four weeks after sustaining a left ankle sprain, the team said Monday.

Murray was hurt late in the third quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, landing awkwardly on a driving layup with 4:01 remaining. He clutched his ankle on the floor and required assistance to reach the locker room.

The injury compounds a difficult season for Sacramento. The Kings have dropped five straight games by double figures and sit at 8-28, the league’s worst point differential at minus-12.

Durability had been a hallmark of Murray’s first three NBA seasons — he appeared in 231 of 246 regular-season games — but the 2025-26 campaign has been challenging. The 23-year-old missed the season’s opening 15 contests with a torn UCL in his left thumb and could now be out for the remainder of January.

In October, the Kings signed Murray to a five-year, $140 million extension that keeps him under contract through 2030-31. Through 19 games this season, he is averaging 14.6 points and 6.1 rebounds while logging 35.9 minutes per game, fifth-most in the NBA.
