Sacramento Kings guard Dennis Schroder has been suspended three games without pay for attempting to hit a Los Angeles Lakers player after a recent game between the two teams, the NBA announced Saturday.

The league said the incident took place in the post-game area and involved an “attempted strike” directed at an unnamed Lakers player. No injuries were reported.

Schroder will miss the Kings’ next three games and forfeit his salary for those contests under NBA disciplinary guidelines. He is eligible to return after the suspension is completed.
