Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns said Tuesday that the New York Knicks’ sky-high playoff expectations should be viewed as a “blessing” rather than a burden.
Speaking with the New York Post ahead of the 2026 NBA postseason, Towns argued that heightened anticipation from fans and media reflects confidence in the Knicks’ ability to contend. He added that embracing such pressure can help a team perform at its best.
The Knicks enter the playoffs carrying some of the league’s most ambitious goals, and Towns believes the organization can use that external belief as motivation as it prepares for its first-round matchup.
