New York Knicks guard-forward Josh Hart left the team’s preseason opener on Thursday, Oct. 2, with an apparent injury and was later removed from the game after being assessed an ejection, according to the club.
The injury, described by the Knicks as “worrisome,” occurred during second-quarter action. Team medical staff escorted Hart to the locker room for evaluation. Details on the exact nature of the injury or its severity were not released immediately after the contest.
While on the bench following the incident, Hart received an ejection that forced him out of the remainder of the exhibition. The Knicks did not specify what led to the decision by officials.
The club said further updates on Hart’s condition will be provided after additional testing.
