New York Knicks guard Josh Hart publicly pushed back Monday against recent negative comments aimed at teammate Mikal Bridges, labeling the scrutiny “unfair.”
Hart said critics are overlooking Bridges’ overall contributions and urged fans to give the forward “the respect he’s earned.” Hart did not specify which remarks triggered his response but made clear he believes the commentary has crossed a line.
The brief defense comes as the Knicks continue their late-season push toward the playoffs. Bridges, acquired earlier in the season, has become a major part of the team’s rotation and is averaging double-figure points since joining New York.
Neither Bridges nor the Knicks organization has formally addressed the criticism.
