Feb. 11, 2026 — Jose Alvarado described his first appearance for the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden as “one for the books,” calling the night a memorable homecoming in front of the Garden crowd.
Alvarado, who joined the Knicks ahead of the 2025-26 season, spoke briefly after the game about the significance of playing in New York for the first time in a Knicks uniform. “This one’s for the books,” he said, noting the electric atmosphere inside the arena.
The guard’s Garden debut also marked his return to the city where he first made a name for himself on the hardwood. While final statistics were not immediately available, Alvarado said the opportunity to suit up for the Knicks on their home floor was something he had dreamed about for years.
