Jordan Clarkson Set to Energize Knicks’ Bench Offense

New York — Jordan Clarkson is expected to deliver the scoring punch the New York Knicks have been seeking for their second unit, the New York Post reported Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

The report indicates that the veteran guard will slot into Tom Thibodeau’s rotation in a reserve role, giving the Knicks an additional creator and shot-maker off the bench. Team officials believe Clarkson’s ability to manufacture points in quick bursts could ease the offensive burden on the starters and diversify the club’s scoring options.

While contractual details were not disclosed, the Post noted that Clarkson’s arrival addresses one of New York’s most pressing needs: reliable offense when the first unit rests. The Knicks struggled with bench production last season, a shortcoming the organization targeted during the offseason.

Clarkson’s addition follows a series of smaller depth moves by the front office aimed at strengthening a roster that reached the Eastern Conference semifinals last spring. Training camp opens next week at the team’s Tarrytown facility, where Clarkson is scheduled to join teammates for the first full practice sessions.
