Los Angeles Lakers head coach J.J. Redick stepped onto the court on April 1, 2026 wearing a pair of custom-made Nike sneakers designed to honor Autism Acceptance Month.

The specially crafted shoes, created in collaboration with Nike, were unveiled before the team’s activities at Crypto.com Arena. According to the organization, the one-of-a-kind design was intended to raise awareness for autism acceptance throughout April.

Redick, who is in his first season at the helm of the Lakers, has not publicly detailed any additional plans tied to the initiative, but the footwear served as a visible statement of support.

The NBA joins several professional sports leagues in recognizing Autism Acceptance Month with on-court and in-arena messages each year.
