Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd was thrown out less than one quarter into Saturday night’s game after a contentious exchange with veteran NBA official Scott Foster.
The ejection came in the first period, shortly after Kidd protested a call on the sideline. Following back-to-back technical fouls assessed by Foster, the 53-year-old coach was sent to the locker room.
Assistant coach Sean Sweeney took over head-coaching duties for the remainder of the contest.
