Los Angeles Lakers forward Jarred Vanderbilt stepped in to stop an argument between Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic and former NBA guard-turned-analyst J.J. Redick, preventing the confrontation from escalating, the New York Post reported.
According to the report, the exchange grew tense before Vanderbilt positioned himself between the two and guided Doncic away. The incident ended without physical contact and no further issues were reported.
Neither Doncic nor Redick has publicly addressed the altercation. The Lakers and Mavericks have also not issued statements on the matter.
