CHARLOTTE — Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball publicly rejected a published report on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, that characterized him as “frustrated” with the organization and willing to consider a trade.

The article in question asserted that the 22-year-old All-Star was unhappy with the team’s direction and open to leaving Charlotte. Ball responded soon after the story appeared, taking to social media to dispute its accuracy and dismiss the suggestion that he wants out.

Ball, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, is in his fifth season with the Hornets. He is currently under contract through the 2026-27 season after signing a rookie-scale extension.

The Hornets have not issued an official statement regarding the report or Ball’s reaction.
