CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges departed Monday’s home game against the Milwaukee Bucks with a right ankle injury and was ruled out for the rest of the night, the team announced.

The injury occurred less than four minutes into the opening quarter. Bridges appeared to roll his ankle while fighting through a screen set by Myles Turner. He stayed on the floor but aggravated the ankle moments later when he landed awkwardly while contesting a 3-point attempt by Gary Trent Jr. The 27-year-old forward immediately limped off the court and did not return after the first period.

Bridges finished with three points and three rebounds in seven minutes.

The Hornets were already short-handed, with rookie guard Kon Knueppel sidelined by a left ankle sprain and center Ryan Kalkbrenner out because of an elbow injury.
