MIAMI — Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic left Monday night’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors after suffering a right elbow injury late in the first quarter.
The 22-year-old was fitted with a splint-like device on his right arm as he walked to the locker room for further evaluation. The Heat announced the injury shortly after his exit.
Jovic had been on the floor for just 12 seconds when he drove to the basket, received a pass and was fouled hard up high by Raptors guard Collin Murray-Boyles. The Serbian forward fell to the court and was examined by Miami’s training staff before heading off.
Now in his fourth NBA season, Jovic was selected by the Heat in the first round of the 2022 draft.
