ATLANTA — The Atlanta Hawks will turn their March 16 home game against the Orlando Magic into a celebration of Magic City, the famed Atlanta strip club known for its role in hip-hop culture.

The organization announced the themed promotion on Feb. 26, saying fans at State Farm Arena will find menu items from the club, including two versions of its signature lemon pepper chicken wings. One of those recipes is the variety named after former Hawks guard Lou Williams.

In addition to the food offerings, the evening will include exclusive merchandise, a live pregame podcast recording about the club’s cultural impact, and a halftime performance by Atlanta rapper T.I.

“This collaboration and theme night is very meaningful to me after all the work that we did to put together ‘Magic City: An American Fantasy,’” said Hawks principal owner Jami Gertz, who helped produce the five-part STARZ docuseries examining the venue’s history. “The iconic Atlanta institution has made such an incredible impact on our city and its unique culture.”

“We doin’ this one for the city … Magic City,” T.I. added in a statement.

The Hawks–Magic matchup is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
