Free-agent guard Monte Morris has agreed to a one-year contract with the Indiana Pacers, agents Andy Shiffman and Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old enters his ninth NBA season and is expected to bolster the Pacers’ backcourt after All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton was ruled out for the entire 2025-26 campaign with a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Morris spent last season with the Phoenix Suns on a one-year, $2.8 million deal, appearing in 45 games and averaging 5.2 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
Originally selected by the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 2017 draft, Morris played five seasons in Denver before making stops with the Washington Wizards, Minnesota Timberwolves and Detroit Pistons.
