Memphis Grizzlies guard Scotty Pippen Jr. will undergo a procedure on his left big toe and is expected to be re-evaluated in approximately 12 weeks, the team announced on Friday.
Pippen, 24, started 21 games for Memphis last season, averaging 9.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists. The 6-foot-3 guard is the son of Hall of Famer and Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen.
Undrafted out of Vanderbilt in 2022, Pippen signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers and appeared in six NBA games as a rookie. Memphis added him on a two-way deal in January 2024, and he contributed nearly 13 points and 4.7 assists over 21 contests with the Grizzlies.
The procedure and timeline leave Pippen unavailable for the opening stretch of the 2025-26 season. Memphis did not specify the exact nature of the injury beyond calling it a left big toe issue.
