MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant for a minimum of two more weeks as the guard continues to recover from a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow suffered on Jan. 21, the team said Wednesday.

The Grizzlies noted that the two-time All-Star is making progress in rehabilitation but is still experiencing discomfort. He will be re-evaluated in 14 days.

In a separate medical update, the club announced that guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is scheduled for surgery Thursday to correct a misalignment in his right pinky finger. A post-operation timetable will be provided after the procedure.

Morant, 26, has appeared in 20 games this season, averaging 19.5 points, 7.4 assists and 4.6 rebounds. Despite persistent trade speculation during the past month, Memphis retained him at the deadline while sending two-time All-Star Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Utah Jazz.

Caldwell-Pope, 33, has logged 51 games, posting averages of 8.4 points, 2.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds.
