Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo said he believes he will be sidelined for four to six weeks after suffering an injury during the team’s lopsided defeat on Jan. 24.
Speaking with reporters after the game, Antetokounmpo described the setback as “concerning” and stressed that the estimated timetable is his own expectation pending further evaluation by team doctors.
The Bucks have not yet released an official diagnosis or recovery schedule. If the 4–6 week projection holds, the two-time NBA champion would be out until late February or early March.
The injury occurred during a game in which Milwaukee was soundly beaten, adding to the team’s frustration as it navigates the middle of the regular season without its All-Star centerpiece.
