The former chief executive officer of Aspiration has rejected accusations that NBA forward Kawhi Leonard entered into a “no-show” agreement with the company.
Allegations surfaced suggesting Leonard was paid despite performing no services for the Los Angeles–based financial firm. In a statement made public on Sept. 13, 2025, the onetime Aspiration leader flatly denied the charge, insisting the partnership with the two-time NBA champion was legitimate.
Details of the disputed arrangement were not disclosed, and neither Leonard nor his representatives have publicly responded to the claim.
