SAN FRANCISCO — Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected late in the second quarter on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, after receiving two quick technical fouls for arguing with officials during a home game against the Utah Jazz.

The incident unfolded as Green trapped Jazz forward Kyle Filipowski beneath the basket. Believing Utah should be whistled for a three-second violation, Green repeatedly shouted “Three! Three!” at referee Simone Jelks. Moments later, Lauri Markkanen finished the possession with a dunk, and Green’s continued protests earned him a first technical.

Green then directed additional comments at referee Kevin Cutler, who assessed a second technical, triggering an automatic ejection. The dismissal is the 22nd regular-season ejection of Green’s career and his second in the Warriors’ past eight games; he was previously thrown out on Dec. 20 against the Phoenix Suns.

Golden State trailed 58-48 when Green left the floor. The Warriors entered the night 18-17, while the Jazz began play at 12-21. Green’s recent stretch has also included a sideline argument with head coach Steve Kerr that led him to remove himself from a game following the Dec. 20 ejection.
