Sacramento Kings coach Doug Christie tore into his roster with a profanity-laden outburst following the team’s blowout defeat on Thursday night, the New York Post reported.
The former Kings guard, now on the club’s coaching staff, “eviscerated” players behind closed doors after the lopsided game, according to the publication. The Post did not detail Christie’s exact remarks but described the meeting as a scathing rebuke of his team’s effort.
The confrontation came on Nov. 13, 2025, immediately after the loss. No players or team officials have publicly commented on the incident.
Christie, 55, spent five seasons of his 14-year NBA career in Sacramento before moving into broadcasting and coaching roles. He joined the Kings’ bench in 2021.
