Luka Doncic asked a Los Angeles County judge on Friday to throw out a child support petition filed earlier this month by his former fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Goltes, who lives in Slovenia with the couple’s two daughters—2-year-old Gabriela and 4-month-old Olivia—had sought child support and attorney fees in the California filing. Doncic’s response, submitted to the Superior Court of Los Angeles, argues for dismissal of the case, the sources told ESPN on Saturday.

The Lakers guard previously filed an interim injunction in Slovenian courts last month requesting immediate contact with both children and addressing joint custody and financial support, the sources said.

ESPN’s request for comment from Goltes’ attorney, Evan C. Itzkowitz, was not returned.

Doncic, 27, remains a Texas resident despite being traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers in February 2025, according to the sources. One daughter spent three months with him in California last spring, while the younger child has never been in the state.

Doncic and the Lakers face the Orlando Magic on Saturday as they try to stretch their winning streak to nine games. During the current eight-game run, Doncic is averaging 40.9 points, making him the fifth player in NBA history to average at least 40 points over such a span, joining Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, Michael Jordan and James Harden.
